BPMN Studio has three plans: a free tier to try it, and two paid tiers for regular use. Prices are in EUR, billed monthly, and you can cancel anytime. No credit card is needed to start.

What each plan includes
Free — €0. Five lifetime diagram generations, the full AI conversation wizard, and the interactive bpmn-js canvas editor. Ideal for trying the tool or making a one-off diagram. You can edit freely on the canvas; file export is reserved for paid plans.
Pro — €11.99/month. Fifty generations per month, unlimited saved-diagram history, and SVG + PNG export. The right plan for analysts and teams producing diagrams regularly who share them as images.
Max — €19.99/month. Unlimited generations plus every export format, including PDF and raw BPMN 2.0 XML. The XML export is the plan that matters if you need to import diagrams into an execution engine like Camunda, Flowable or Activiti, or continue editing in bpmn.io.
Honest limitations
We keep the comparison pages on this site balanced, so the pricing page should be too:
- Export is paid. The free plan does not export files — you can build and edit a diagram, but downloading SVG/PNG/PDF/XML needs Pro or Max.
- BPMN XML is Max-only. If round-tripping to Camunda/Flowable is your main use case, budget for the €19.99 tier.
- Generations are metered on Free and Pro. Only Max is unlimited.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a free BPMN Studio plan?
Yes. The Free plan gives you 5 lifetime AI diagram generations with no credit card required. You can view and edit diagrams on the interactive canvas; exporting files requires a Pro or Max plan.
Can I export BPMN 2.0 XML?
Yes, on the Max plan (€19.99/month). Max exports raw BPMN 2.0 XML, which imports directly into Camunda Modeler, Flowable, Activiti, bpmn.io and any BPMN 2.0-compatible engine. Pro exports SVG and PNG; Max adds PDF and XML.
What happens when I run out of generations?
On Free, once your 5 lifetime generations are used you can upgrade to Pro or Max to continue. On Pro, the 50-generation monthly allowance resets each billing month. Max is unlimited.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and can be cancelled at any time from the billing portal; you keep access until the end of the current period.
