BPMN Studio pricing
BPMN Studio has three plans: a free tier to try it, and two paid tiers for regular use. Prices are in EUR and include all taxes, billed monthly, and you can cancel anytime. EU customers can also withdraw within 14 days of subscribing and pay only for the days used. No credit card is needed to start.

Every plan includes the AI conversation wizard, AI edits to existing diagrams, the interactive bpmn-js canvas, workspaces and projects, shared projects, version history, and every export format for free: SVG, PNG, PDF and BPMN 2.0 XML. Paid plans buy more AI credits and a stronger generation model, not exports.
How credits work
Every AI request uses credits in proportion to its size: a short chat reply costs a fraction of a credit, a new diagram typically 15–25, an AI edit 3–10. On Pro and Max, credits refill in two rolling windows. The 5-hour window starts with your first request after the previous one ran out; the weekly window works the same way over 7 days. When you reach either limit, AI features pause until that window refills, and the Usage page shows exactly when. The Free plan's 120 credits are a one-time allowance to try the product. Editing on the canvas never uses credits.

Honest limitations
We keep the comparison pages on this site balanced, so the pricing page should be too:
- Free AI usage is one-time. The free plan's 120 credits do not refill. Editing and exporting stay free after they run out, but new AI generations need Pro or Max.
- Every plan has usage limits. No plan is unlimited: Free is a one-time allowance and Max is capped at 675 credits a week, which suits daily use but not bulk automation.

Is there a free BPMN Studio plan?
Yes. The Free plan needs only an account, no credit card. It includes 120 one-time AI credits for chat, generation and edits, enough for about 5 diagrams. You can view and edit diagrams on the interactive canvas and export them as SVG, PNG, PDF or BPMN 2.0 XML, all free.
Can I export BPMN 2.0 XML?
Yes, for free on every plan, including Free. BPMN Studio exports raw BPMN 2.0 XML, which imports directly into Camunda Modeler, Flowable, Activiti, bpmn.io and any BPMN 2.0-compatible engine, as well as SVG, PNG and PDF.
What are credits, and what happens when I run out?
Every AI request (a chat message, a diagram generation, an AI edit) uses credits in proportion to its size, so a large diagram costs more than a short reply. Pro and Max get a weekly allowance (375 and 675 credits) that refills every 7 days, plus a 5-hour limit that paces heavy bursts; when you reach either, AI features pause until it refills and the app shows the exact reset time. Free credits are a one-time allowance of 120 that does not refill; when they run out, upgrade to keep using AI features. Your diagrams stay editable on the canvas either way.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and can be cancelled at any time from the billing portal; you keep access until the end of the current period.
